Introducing the Trench
Merlin Mechanical Services trench product is a robust quality product, constructed to a high standard for use in the specification market. Our selection of grille finishes compliment most commercial design programmes in present modern build projects. Used widely in Hotel, Office, Commercial Showrooms, Crèches, Private Swimming Pools etc., the Merlin Trench selection fully compliment our other products including, Radiant Ceiling Panel, Low Surface Temperature radiators, Perimeter Heating and our exclusive Vasco Radiator range.
Product Flexibility
The Merlin Trench Selection is available with both single and double element design to meet most heating design criteria. Our certified outputs are provided by Vasco elements that are covered by a 10 year quality guarantee. Our elements operate to 4 bar (standard) and are suitable for very low water temperature. Our steel on steel element is fully primed using electrophoresis ( KTL – bath ). Elements are provided with ½” connection as standard.

Standard product are manufactured by Merlin Mechanical Services Limited from mild steel (zinc coated).
Gauge Thickness: 1.6mm gauge

Grille Finish: Standard / Aluminium
Element
Two types of elements are available
- Steel on Steel emitter as manufactured by VASCO.
- Fully primed using KTL – bath
- Standard ½” connection
- Working pressure 4 bar (higher available on request)
Also available:
- Copper | Alum elemented as manufactured by Merlin
- Standard ½” connection
Recommendations
Merlin recommends that all trench pits are suitably insulated for increased energy efficiency. Merlin can provide a fully insulated trench box on request.
